Welcome to week-15 of the 2021-22 academic year.<\/p>\n

January as Tamil Heritage Month:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Thanks to the efforts of Sacramento Tamil Mandram, the City of Folsom, Roseville, Rancho Cordova, and Rocklin have unanimously approved a resolution to declare the month of January as \u201cTamil Heritage Month\u201d in the respective cities.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Proclamation for \u201cTamil Heritage Month\u201d will be presented at the city council meeting on the following dates. The Sacramento Tamil Mandram kindly welcomes you all to join and celebrate this great occasion at your respective city council meetings.<\/p>\n

          Assembly:<\/strong> School will start with a virtual assembly at 9:45 AM. After assembly, students are required to join their individual classroom sessions conducted by their respective teachers. Parents, teachers and students should have calendar invites already for the assembly session.<\/p>\n

          Class participation, instruction method & engagement: <\/strong>Students are strongly encouraged to participate and engage on their own during the instructional time. Parents’ help in setting up the student\u2019s instructional environment, including the technological help\/aid and making it distraction free is appreciated. However, Parents should not prompt or assist students when teachers are engaged with their students. This may impact teacher\u2019s instructional methods and student evaluation process.<\/p>\n

          For security reasons, all students & teachers must join or access the content and meeting ONLY through the authorized sactamilacademy.org Google workspace. Since this facility allows each student to have a full google account, Parents are responsible to monitor their child\u2019s activities, progress, & assignments.<\/p>\n

          Attendance:<\/strong> Attendance is a key component of our grading system as you all should know. Attendance will be marked by the attendance officer during the live classroom session (weekly Sunday 10-11:30 AM). Arriving after 10.15 am or leaving before 11.15 am will be marked as Tardy. Don\u2019t forget that 100% attendance for the academic year gets a special recognition at the end of the year.<\/p>\n

          Tamil competitions hosted by Sacramento Tamil Mandram (STM): <\/strong>STM is planning to host two competitions targeting the young generation promoting Tamil language. For questions about the event, please contact event_chair@sactamil.org<\/a> directly. Details can be found below.<\/p>\n
